Buyers Guide: Baron Payroll - Who We Aren’t

who we aren't Baron Payroll buyers guide

Shopping around for a new payroll company can be confusing for most people. Sure, it’s important to understand who the companies are that you’re considering. However, knowing who they aren’t may even be more valuable so you can make the best decision for your company.

With this in mind, we compiled a list of who we aren’t.

1. We aren’t a giant national company that uses annoying phone trees and call centers.

Don’t you hate getting routed to giant call centers all over the world. It’s virtually impossible to speak with the same person twice. So if your issue doesn’t get resolved on your first call, you have to start all over again with a new person. Good luck with that.

2. We aren’t time-wasters.

You probably don’t need support that often, but when you have a question and need help right away, the last thing you want is to struggle and waste your time. Days go by and no one answers your emails. Or when you call, you are stuck on hold for hours waiting to speak with someone. No one should tolerate that.

3. We aren’t a company with an overworked and inexperienced staff.

It’s called capacity. Your giant payroll provider gets thousands more calls every day than they have people. You see this everywhere now. Their staff is new and inexperienced because turnover is so high. They are understaffed and overworked and they just don’t care. So maybe, bigger isn’t always better, especially now in today’s world.

4. We don’t put our investors' needs first and our clients' interests last.

We aren’t trying to impress Wall Street investors with our profits or sales growth. We aren’t beholden to any investors and instead put our clients first. It’s a much better service model for you.

5. We aren’t a company with selfish, high-pressure salespeople.

Don’t you hate pushy salespeople? We aren’t a company with high-pressure salespeople who have commission breath, as we call it. You know, a salesperson that doesn’t really care about what you need. Instead they are just pushing the “service of the month” whether you need it or not, so they can win sales contests and earn the most commission for themselves.
