Your Guide to Starting with Baron Payroll

If you're getting ready to work with Baron Payroll, you might be wondering, "When can I start?"

This guide will explain the steps to switch to Baron Payroll and show how you can help make the process faster.


First Meeting 

Before we get started, you'll need to book a meeting with your implementation specialist.

And the faster you book this first meeting, the faster we can get you set up. 

In our first meeting, we will:

    • Look at your old payroll data.
    • Check out how your current payroll works.
    • Give you advice tailored to your needs.
    • Talk about how to stop using your old payroll service.

Important Note:

We don't just copy your old data to our system. We review it and make it better, and you can choose which of our ideas to use.

Getting Ready:

  • Have your current payroll login ready.
  • Be prepared to talk about how you do payroll now and Baron Payroll's services.

We're excited to meet and start working together!

Step 1: If You Let Us, Baron Will Do All the Work to Move You from Your Old Payroll Provider onto Your New Payroll Platform. 

One thing we’ve learned is that every company is different. So, our objective is to configure your new system specifically for your company.

With that in mind, your implementation leader will review your current payroll records and find out from you what your current payroll process is. 

Then, we will onboard your company onto your new platform and add your employee information and historical data for the current year.

Step 2: You Will Log In, Start to Learn Your New System, and Verify Your Data

Once your company is set up, we will show you how to log in to your new system. 

Then, you can review your employee's information and historical payroll data.

Step 3: Go Live With Your New Time & Attendance System

Next comes learning and testing your new time and attendance system.

Your employees will start clocking in and out using the face clock, smartphone app, or both. 

You'll learn how to review your employee's time cards, make changes, and fix any missing punches. 

Step 4: Go Live With Payroll

Finally, we'll set a target date to run your first payroll in your new system. 

But don’t worry, you won’t have to go it alone. We will be with you every step of the way. 

We will do payroll together so we can tweak the system and create the easiest and most accurate process for you. 

Then, once we finalize your process, we will document all the steps in writing and make a video.  

This way, if you forget something or have a question, you will have documentation to refer to.

And that’s it! You’ll be up and running in no time. 

Our goal is to automate, streamline, and simplify your payroll submission process.

Additionally, with your new system, your company will have a “single source of truth” to easily find all your mission-critical HR and payroll records.
