Attention business owners. I’m Larry Kagan owner of Baron Payroll.
Training people to do new tasks is always a challenge. At Baron we have great success using our easy 3-step process to train both our clients and our employees.
By the end of this video, you’ll know exactly what our training process is and be able to use this same exact 3-step process to train people in your business.
The first step is to demonstrate how to do the task with the person watching. The person should take notes and ask questions. Be sure to go slowly and make sure they absorb all the steps you’re demonstrating.
The second step is to let the person you’re training do the task while you are instructing them. Talk them through all the steps, but make sure they are physically doing it.
The third step is to allow the person to complete the task by themselves. You are there to observe and verify that they can complete the task from beginning to end the way you taught them.
This step does not end until they can complete the task all by themselves. Once they can, then they are trained.
So, to recap the first time we do it and they observe. The second time they do it and we instruct. The third time they do it while we observe to verify, that they can complete the task. Once they complete it all by themselves, they’re trained.
